Our cattery is a very small family business. All our cats live with us as family members. Our ladies are all Himalayans with non-standard (long) legs, while the father of the kittens is a Munchkin with standard legs, short coat and a beautiful dark colourpoint colouring.
We are striving to breed healthy cats that are awesome family companions. Healthy, happy, well socialized with both humans and dogs, our kittens leave us for their forever homes with the best possible foundation.
Once in their new homes, we will continue to provide advise on how to take best care of their physical and mental needs. Cats are our passion!
This is a rare breed with absolutely fantastic features. Most of all, they are fabulous family companions with amazing personalities. Friendly, active, smart and loving. They come in both short and long hair, and many have short legs similar to the Dachshund or Corgi dog breeds.
The Napoleon - or Minuet as they are sometimes called - is a new breed still in the making. It is essentially a cross between the Himalayan and the Munchkin. To better understand what this means, let's look at the two breeds they combine:
The Himalayan breed – The Himalayan breed is a cross between the Siamese and Persian. Himalayans inherit the colourpoint coat pattern and smarts from the siamese. The Persian contributes a lush long fur and easy-going, laid-back personality.
The Munchkin – The munchkin is really not a breed per se. It refers to the short legs found in many cats all over the world. The short legs are the result of a dominant genetic variant. The short leg phenotype is referred to as "standard", while long legged kittens in the same litter are called "non-standard". Due to the varied genetic background of Munchkin cats, they come in a variety of sizes, colours and coat lengths.
Himalayan x Munchkin = Napoleon! – Breeders of the Napoleon cat strive to achieve a long haired, colour point cat with the short face features of the Persian and the short legs of a Munchkin.
Mr Magoo
is a munchkin cat with short legs and he is the father of our kittens. He is the most loving, patient and beautiful cat you can imagine!
His colourpoint markings are striking, a full dark face accentuating those long white whiskers.
He has a short fur but inherits the long coat gene variant to half of his babies. His standard (short) legs will also be inherited to half of his offspring.
Willow
is our amazing mother cat. Although she might remind you of "Grumpy Cat" she is nothing but! She is the most amazing mother, taking care of her babies while allowing both Mr. Magoo and our dogs to help out with socializing the little ones.
Willow is a Himalayan cat with with long soft coat. As such, she will inherit the gene variant for long coat to all of her offspring.
Buffy
is the youngling in the family, just one year old. We hope to have kittens from her in the fall. Buffy is a loving lap-cat with a beautiful long coat and lovely colourpoint markings. As Willow, she is a Himalayan and will inherit the gene variant for long coat to all of her offspring.

All of our cats live with us in our house! They share everyday life with us and two dogs and are true family members.
Absolutely not! If you are looking for an outdoor cat, this is not the place for you. Our kittens are only sold to those who commit to keeping them indoors. Outdoor life is not a safe option for most cats. Munchkins in particular with their short legs would have a hard time defending themselves.
Some cats can be trained to walk on a leash, which is of course totally fine. However, they may need additional vaccinations to protect them from communicable diseases.
Yes. As long as they receive attention and companionship, they do just fine in city apartments. However, they are active cats! Despite Munchkin legs and Himalayan coats, they need somewhere to play, climb and jump.
Every cat has a different personality, and this is true irrespective of breed. Kittens inherit some characteristics from their parents. Our breeding Munchkin and Himalayan cats all have outstanding personalities. docile and friendly, active and loving human companionship.
Kittens develop a lot of their future personalities during the first weeks of life, while they are still together with their mother. This is a crucial time for socializing - learning how to get along with others, including cats, humans and others.
Our kittens are handled daily from the day they are born by us and they grow up playing with our dogs. This gives them the best possible start in life.
However, it is up to the new owner to continue this extremely important job!
It is crucial to spend time on preparing for the arrival of your kitten! This is especially true for Himalayans with their long coat and the Munchkin with their short legs. We expect you to read up on the subject and be well versed on the needs of a cat BEFORE you place a hold on any of our kittens!
We are NOT a kitten mill! The few litters of very precious Napoleon Munchkin and Himalayan we have available per year allows us to be very strict with screening our prospective customers. We will only sell a kitten or cat to someone who we feel completely confident will take the best care of it.
This include committing to:
Based on the most recent recommendations from veterinary professionals, kittens should be kept with their mothers until they are 10-12 weeks old. They need this time to learn cat behaviour.
The price for our kittens depends on the length of their coats and legs. Standard Munchkins with long coat will be more expensive due their rarity. Likewise, kittens inheriting the long Himalayan coat will also be more expensive than cats with short hair. The price will be determined individually for each litter "Kittens available to loving homes".
Yes, all kittens are sold on a contract basis. This is important so that we can assure the best possible care of our kittens and for you so you know exactly what you have committed to and can expect from us.
No, we do not ship kittens. We do not sell our kittens unless we have met you and are convinced that you will take good care of it and knows how to welcome a cat into your family.
Munchkins, Himalayans and Napolean cats are all rare and especially valuable. They deserve the best.
Kittens do not fare well being shipped. They need a loving person comforting them during the trauma of leaving the life they know behind.
Yes, we require a $250.00 non-refundable deposit to hold a kitten for you. Remember that holding a kitten means that we will have to turn other prospective customers away.
There will be a clause in the contract stating that you commit to letting us know of any plans to give up or sell your cat. We reserve the right to take it back unless we are satisfied that it is going to a good home. Taking a cat back will be on a surrender basis and we will not refund any purchase price.
